The Big Game

It was the moment we’d been waiting for… Two years ago, Jim said “Wouldn’t it be fun to go to the Alabama-Auburn game in 2008? We could go for Thanksgiving and maybe we would have a son to take with us by then!” Sure enough, it all happened. Thanks to a great amount of effort from the Alabama Keenes, we were there for the big victory. It was awesome. We had so much fun yelling ROLL TIDE ROLL with the other 92,000 fans while the Crimson Tide stomped all over Auburn. We made sure to have all the Bama gear we needed before the big day.

Quite a few people voiced considerable concern over taking JT to the game. It was going to be loud, cold, and wet. Well, it was very loud, not too cold, and just a little wet. And JT continues to awe us with his flexible, happy personality. Not only did he sleep through the first quarter and conveniently get hungry right around half time, he sucked down a cold bottle and fell asleep right on schedule for the evening… then continued to sleep right through the victory noise, complete with air horns, screaming fans, and the Rammer Jammer song that the entire stadium sings together. Just in case no one would believe us, we took pictures for proof!
