Because we care about our readers, I have compiled all twenty minutes of video of JT opening presents into just over one minute and put it to music. You’re welcome. On to the rest… JT and Jim ate breakfast together on the couch – a total treat in our house, where I believe meals shouldContinue reading “Christmas Day”

Christmas Eve
Ah, Christmas Eve. My very favorite church service of the whole year! Every year since we’ve been married, Jim and I reserve Christmas Eve for “just us.” It was a wonderful day! First, we hung out in our pajamas until well after noon. We haven’t done this as a family since August. Hooray! JT helpedContinue reading “Christmas Eve”
Snowflake Lane
On Wednesday, we had my parents and my grandma over for dinner and some Christmas festivities. Dinner was yummy… Then JT got to open his present before we left the house. He got a new table and chairs, just for him. Assembly required… pictures to come. 🙂 He also got a new drawing tablet, crayons,Continue reading “Snowflake Lane”
The Tunnel
Our friends the Hollanders give us toys whenever they’re through with them… which is awesome. That’s where we’ve gotten several of JT’s favorites, like the bubble gum machine and the fire truck, and now this! It is a tunnel. And it collapses for storage, hooray. Ohhhhhh so fun. We tried it out tonight after IContinue reading “The Tunnel”
Yep, that’s our son
Recently I have been letting JT have his water in a real cup at meals, so he gets practice using one. The first time I did it, he reminded me that there are certain characteristics that are built right in… like the tendency to think a place for everything, and everything in its place… getContinue reading “Yep, that’s our son”
Christmas with the Skagens
This year for Christmas, we got our god-daughter, Aly, a Barbie Jeep. Jim has been soooooo excited to give it to her! We brought it to their house all assembled, charged, and ready to go, with a big red bow. We even found a guy who sells personalized license plates for these things on eBay,Continue reading “Christmas with the Skagens”
Birthday/MurderMystery/NewPeaCoat/ LivingNativity/Apollo’s
Yep, I’m serious. That was our weekend. Let me tell you all about it! First, we hosted a birthday lunch at our house for Jim’s dad’s birthday. Here JT is wondering why Grandma Keene keeps taking all those pictures. Grandpa and Grandma Keene got to babysit later on that night. They went for a niceContinue reading “Birthday/MurderMystery/NewPeaCoat/ LivingNativity/Apollo’s”
Catching up on Flip Clips 4
Last one… JT’s newest table game: Hide the Spoon. Quickly followed by other games, like Hide the Peas and Hide the Lasagna, which were not as funny. 🙂
Catching up on Flip Clips 3
All of the sudden, JT learned to climb. We’ve been practicing on the step stool in the kitchen so he can “help” at the counter, but this one took me by surprise. Fortunately, my little Flip has a tripod so I could be a hands-free spotter. It’s a six foot ladder!
Catching up on Flip Clips 2
I found this little radio in a drawer I hardly ever open, and JT absolutely loves it. He knows how to turn it on and adjust the volume with the knob. And now, at any moment, dance music comes blasting out of his room. It’s pretty funny!
