After the big birthday party (read post below if you missed it!), my real birthday was pretty low-key. We had planned to go to the zoo and see a movie, but neither one worked out! Instead, we started the day by going to a local bakery for breakfast. I got a whole wheat apple cinnamon roll (healthy) with cream cheese frosting (not so) to go, and I ate it this morning. Correction: I ate a quarter of it this morning. I have never before in my life, not once, been so overwhelmed by frosting that I had to quit eating. I guess I’m getting too old for that. π
Anyway, Jim took some pictures at breakfast. Here I am, thirty years old!
JT graciously shared his milk with me. He thought that was pretty funny!
We went to storytime at the library and came home. By then, we were ready for the donuts that we got to-go from the bakery. Jim decided to make it my “birthday cake” and got out the candles and everything. JT helped me blow them out.
We headed to Jim’s parents’ house for the afternoon and dinner. JT helped deliver the presents.

Grandma let JT play in the kitchen while she was fixing dinner. He had a great time ladeling and spooning from the pot to the muffin pan, and all over the floor. Poor Slider had to exercise great self-control, as she sat outside the kitchen sniffing for bits and pieces that kept flinging in her direction.
