We’re not sure what happened, but my cousin Elizabeth is due two weeks before me, and my cousin’s wife Marissa is due four weeks after me… all with our second child. Elizabeth lives in southern Idaho and Marissa lives in Alaska, so when we were all going to be within driving distance of each other my mom decided to throw a triple baby shower for us. It was so much fun! Best of all, this was the first time in quite a while that all of our aunts have been able to come to one event (and most of the girl cousins, too!).
The Baby Mommas
One of the fun things about our triple shower was opening identical presents. Elizabeth is having a boy, and I’m having a girl, and Marissa doesn’t know yet, so there were blue, pink, and green bows all over everything. We did get some things that didn’t match, which was great too… like when I opened the most adorable Mary Jane Robeez I’ve ever seen from Aunt Merrie and a gorgeous blue and brown floral baby blanket with soft, soft white on the other side from Cassie.
