I have been accused of the common second-time-parent sin: not taking as many pictures of your second child. I have to argue that this is just not true… at the very least, it is hard to tell. First, I have a much better camera, so I can take fewer pictures and get one that IContinue reading “Equality”

Conversations
It’s fun that JT is finally old enough to have a conversation. This first Flip Clip sounds more like a quiz than a dialogue, but that’s because it’s really hard to get an impromptu talk on film. (The names he says are Asher, Abby, Jen, Katie, Brady, and Shira. I laughed when he said “maybeContinue reading “Conversations”
Two Months Old
Hooray for two months old! Haley has slept five, six, or seven hours at night all week. She is smiling a lot and is starting to follow things with her eyes and head. Haley had her two month checkup today and she is doing just great. Her pediatrician said that she her skills are rightContinue reading “Two Months Old”
Toddler Logic
There were so many “quotables” today that I had to make a separate posting. I am amazed at how children’s brains work (favorite class in college = child development and psychology). I love that JT can verbalize his thinking so much better now. He makes us laugh! Many times these conversations happen in the carContinue reading “Toddler Logic”
Back in the Saddle (Ski)
Thursday was a beautiful day, the lake was calm, and I got to ski. Finally! This was my first ski of 2010, my first ski as a 30-year-old, and my first ski as a mother of two. Pretty big deal. 🙂 Grandma and Grandpa Cole came out in the boat with us for lunch (thankContinue reading “Back in the Saddle (Ski)”
Grandma’s Birthday
We had a lot of fun hanging out with Grandma Keene for her birthday last night! I made my annual German chocolate cake with coconut pecan frosting. We had a yummy pot roast dinner, courtesy Grandpa Keene, too. The birthday girl and Haley JT showing Grandma our card JT’s new light-up pumpkin from Grandma
Smiles
Haley started smiling two weeks ago but they are so tough to catch on camera! She is consistently smiley after her 10 AM feeding, so this morning I was ready. I also set the camera on continuous shutter, so I got a bazillion pictures in a row and managed to catch some great grins. ItContinue reading “Smiles”
The New Stroller
It came! It rocks! If you want more details, keep reading. If you just want to look at pictures of the kids, scroll on. 🙂 So our new Phil & Teds Explorer stroller came on Monday. We were so excited to put it together and take it for a spin. After months of deliberating andContinue reading “The New Stroller”
Sara Blankets
My kids are blessed with people who like to make them blankets of all types… they each have a big fleece blanket from Aunt Linda (that we use in the boat), a small fleece blanket (that we use in the stroller), a square flannel (that we use in the car), a quilt for decoration inContinue reading “Sara Blankets”
Fall
Welcome, fall! JT has been having a great time spotting pumpkins and spiders. We even saw a bee land in a spider’s web yesterday – and we watched the spider crawl over, wrap up the bee, and hoist it away. Awesome! We are spending a little more time indoors with the change in weather butContinue reading “Fall”
