Out of Town

I had to go out of town to present at a conference for work, and I didn’t want to leave Haley for three days. So my mom, a professional grandma, volunteered to come with me. She hung out in the hotel, did a little shopping, and mostly kept Haley on schedule and happy. It was awesome! Haley was a great traveler and slept or babbled happily for the entire car ride both ways.

Here they are arriving at the hotel… glad to be out of the car, and hungry for dinner!

My job share partner, Emrie, was there to present with me. She and Haley were fast friends – Haley thought Emrie was soooo funny!

Haley slept fine in her pack-n-play but loved to nap close within Grandma’s reach on the king size bed.

While I was gone, the two bachelors had a great time. They went to the Museum of Flight with our friend Carl and his son Brady.

This is the kind of picture you get with two two-year-olds outside. 🙂

When Haley and I got home on Friday, I got a BIG HUG welcome from JT. Slider and Jim were happy to see me too. 🙂 And I was happy to see that Jim cleaned the whole house, did all the laundry, and stocked the fridge so I would have nothing to do on Saturday but relax and enjoy being home. What a great husband!
