Mt Rainier Scenic Railroad

Our friends the Krafts invited us to take a trip on the Mount Rainier Scenic Railroad with them. After reading some negative reviews online, we were a little nervous – but it was wonderful! We think people just don’t know what to expect. It was perfect for our train-loving boy and curious little girl.

Getting ready to board

We did the trip out in the outside car!
It was loud and right next to the engine.

Our view of Mineral Lake from our picnic table for dinner

We picked a covered car on the way home

Haley enjoyed having a bench all to herself

Love this one!

A scenic view

Haley was sure there were very important things to see out the window

A beaver dam

Crossing the river

Mount Rainier

Over a bridge

Waving at cars as we pull into the station

A little tired 🙂

The group

The kids (and parents) got to climb in the engine car when the ride was finished – so cool!

This is one of the smallest churches in the United States. It shares a parking lot with the train depot.

We thought the scenery was lovely!
