Thanksgiving

We kicked off Thanksgiving week by making some crafts as a gift for our hosts, Grandpa and Grandma Cole. Here JT is showing off his handprint turkey. He also made a puffy pumpkin.

My parents hosted a lot of  my mom’s family for dinner and we had a wonderful time!

Haley enjoyed the sweet potatoes.
After dinner we lounged and my Aunt Linda and Uncle David came by, with their children and grandchildren.
Ryder – check out those cheeks!
JT and Savannah got to watch a little TV while they ate their desserts
My cousin Alyssa is ridiculously talented with an Etch-a-Sketch.
Right around bedtime, people started to go home and I realized I hadn’t gotten a picture of my two. This is what “JT, hold your sister and smile” looks like at 8:00 PM.

All healed!

One last walk around the house before bed in her adorable Thanksgiving dress

We cleaned up (meaning, I wandered around the kitchen eating leftovers while the men relaxed on the couch and my mom scrubbed the dishes) and headed out shopping at midnight. My mom and I go shopping every year on Black Friday and we have never seen a line like the one at Target. We turned around and came home, slept for three hours, and got up to hit the 5 AM sales.

We are so blessed with family, a warm home, full tummies, clothes, and good jobs. We say what we’re thankful for every day, however, even in the hard stuff… it is mentioned about 70 times in the Bible! “In all things give thanks…” 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
