We woke up around 7 AM and opened stockings and gifts together at home. It had snowed on Christmas Eve and we woke up to a winter wonderland. Apparently that hasn’t happened here since 2008!
JT wins for the best opening faces. He was soooo happy and had great reactions! The best one was when he opened one of his gifts from Haley: a bottle of Coke, because he always beats her on “jinx, you owe me a bottle of Coke.” Hahahaha!
Then he got the Ninjago Lego set he’d been wanting, and that was big news.
Then Haley got a fuzzy robe that she’d been wanting, and she looked so cute in it!
It was so soft and snuggly that she just needed to cuddle with Jim.
After a light breakfast of scones and yogurt parfaits at home, we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Cole’s house for brunch and family gifts. Crossing the street for holidays is one of our favorite parts of living where we do!
JT took all of the photos at the Cole residence…
Until it was time for family photos, when Becky followed the Jeff Cole family out into the snow for a photo shoot for their holiday card!
In late afternoon, we moved houses. After dropping off some things at home and collecting some plates of dessert, we drove the short distance to the John Keene house for Christmas dinner and more gift opening.
We had another wonderful Christmas with family this year!
