We spent last weekend camping and watching baseball, and it was just lovely. It was Mother’s Day weekend, and we reserved a spot at an RV Park about 15 minutes from the ball field. We drove down Friday evening and were able to get up and have a pancake breakfast before getting JT to theContinue reading “Camping + Baseball”

California Trip 2018
We took a long weekend trip to California because our niece Madi was graduating college and we thought we would extend the time there with some more fun. My mom decided to come with us and enjoy a vacation too, since she has wanted to go to Disneyland with her grandchildren for about 22 yearsContinue reading “California Trip 2018”
Date Hike
Jim planned an awesome date for us that included a hike to Lena Lake. We love spending time outdoors, and it was a perfect afternoon. The rain held off for us too! On the way home, we stopped at Seabeck pizza for dinner… And then grabbed Blizzards too. After all, we hiked six miles! 😉
Silver Champions!
We had such a great time at the USSSA Red, White, & Blue tournament in Lacey this past weekend. The whole weekend was beautiful blue skies (albeit windy and not super warm). There is a Dutch Bros coffee stand near the field… yay. 🙂 JT and his team won the silver bracket and were invitedContinue reading “Silver Champions!”
And then the sun came out!
We had a spell of a LOT of rain last week and people around here were really, really ready for sunshine. And then it happened! I just love our house, and in the sunshine the view from my window (morning top, afternoon bottom) is just lovely. It’s not warm yet though! Jim bought me aContinue reading “And then the sun came out!”
Marine Science Research Field Trip
JT’s class had quite possibly the best field trip I’ve ever been on this week. I’m so glad I got to go (only a few parents were able to attend)! We took a bus to the ferry, walked on, and ended up on the Seattle waterfront. I had these six lovely children in my groupContinue reading “Marine Science Research Field Trip”
Lunch with Friends
We decided to have some friends over for lunch on one of the half days last week. Haley invited three friends and JT two, so we had seven kids for lunch and a few hours of play time! What a fun way to spend the afternoon!
9U Baseball Tournament #1
JT had his first baseball tournament on March 31 – just a one-day with four teams. The night before when we set out all his gear, we realized that we hadn’t bought new cleats for this year. #parentfail So off we went to Big5 at 8:30 PM for cleats that fit (last year’s did NOTContinue reading “9U Baseball Tournament #1”
Becky’s 38th Birthday
I woke up to a lovely homemade breakfast – yogurt berry parfaits and veggie-and-egg mini muffin cups. Jim did a great job with something healthy and yummy! Then he went to work, the kids went to school, and I went to spin class! I came home and worked a few hours and captured “me atContinue reading “Becky’s 38th Birthday”
Ski Weekend #2
This past weekend we had another weekend at Crystal Mountain, staying in the camper and skiing. We have so much fun doing this as a family! We arrived to tons of snow and got cozy… We forgot all of our games except one, so the kids started working on making their own. They made PictionaryContinue reading “Ski Weekend #2”
