We started Easter week by stuffing eggs for JT’s school Easter party. JT did all the work one afternoon while Haley was napping. We also made candy nests for the party, which was super fun and easy. The kids had a great time adding the coconut grass and eggs. The party was rainy and theContinue reading “Easter”

Art Dog
Have you read Art Dog? We hadn’t. But seeing it live tonight made us want to check it out! Thank you, Seattle Children’s Theater for another quality production! (P.S. JT, a children’s theater guru, said that he likes SCT better than Carco Theater because they have “better costumes and actors.”)
Spring Break
Hellooooo Spring Break! I kicked off the week with a quick trip to California for my contract job. I flew down Friday night and was home to smooch the kids in bed on Saturday night. Sunday after church we had our first kickball game of the season. Go Jiminy Kickits! 🙂 Then we headed toContinue reading “Spring Break”
Birthday
I turned 34 a couple of weeks ago. I forgot to blog about it because it wasn’t a BIG birthday, but it certainly was a nice one. Jim was out of town for work and my children were out of town as well because I had a conference in Edmonds to attend. But I cameContinue reading “Birthday”
Spring Sunshine
Today is April 1st, and we were blessed with wonderful sunshine and a day to get some things done. I washed the car while the kids rode bikes this morning, and this afternoon I did yard work while the kids played on the play structure in the back. It was wonderful! JT had his “100thContinue reading “Spring Sunshine”
Newness
A lot has happened since we’ve been back from our big trip. We are full of newness! First off, JT registered for kindergarten. He was so excited and the office staff at his school were truly amazing. We are really looking forward to next year. Then I went on another quick trip, believe it orContinue reading “Newness”
Barcelona
Last summer, I applied to be a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert. Part of the program is a trip to the Microsoft in Education Global Forum, taking place this year in Barcelona. (Past locations include Hong Kong, Cape Town, Washington, D.C., Prague, and more.) There were 23,000 applicants and the Partners in Learning team selected 267Continue reading “Barcelona”
Fancy Date Night
Jim’s annual work banquet is always a very nice evening. This year it was at Willows Lodge. The food was fabulous. We got all dressed up, hired a babysitter, valet parked, and had a wonderful evening out. 🙂
Birthdays
There were two important birthdays last week: my grandma and my mom. We went and visited my grandma for her birthday and celebrated 89 years of her life. Next year, we are gearing up for a big family reunion/birthday party to celebrate her 90th birthday! I took this picture, which I love, of the fourContinue reading “Birthdays”
Travel
I have had the wonderful opportunity to earn a little money and have some adventures lately. I have been to California twice and Salt Lake City once, and I have a trip to Boston booked for April. I fly in, deliver a training on Microsoft in Education, and fly home. And I get paid andContinue reading “Travel”
